Vysoke Uceni Technicke v Brne (BUT)

Brno University of Technology, the Czech Republic, is the second-largest Czech technical university. At present, more than 22,000 students and more than 1300 professors and researchers are with BUT. Topics in teaching and research cover engineering disciplines (electrical, mechanical, civil, chemical, information), architecture and fine arts (oriented to the design).

In 2010, BUT established the Centre of Sensor, Information and Communication Systems (SIX Centre) to support a common applied research with companies in field of information and communication technologies. In CELTA, the group of applied electromagnetics from the Department of Microwave Technologies of SIX is engaged.

The department is equipped with design tools (blade servers + SW for electromagnetic design), measurement apparatuses operating up to 110 GHz (generators, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers) and chambers (anechoic antenna chamber, shielded EMC chamber). Special designs and measurements can be performed in cooperation with partners’ companies.
