Image and Microwave Photonics Division

Image and Microwave Photonics Division, represented by dr. Krzysztof Madziar, covers a wide range of topics associated with terahertz image acquisition, processing and microwave photonics. One of the main areas of work is research on metamaterial structures and liquid crystal materials in terahertz range for terahertz information processing systems, microwave to light and light to microwave conversions and microwave photonic devices. The group conducts work in the domain of signal/image processing methods and systems in a terahertz range for 3D imaging in non-destructive tests and biomedical systems. The laboratory allows advanced measurements and analysis of two- and three-dimensional structures in range 0,2 THz to 8THz.
